Baked Apples

4 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
4 large baking apples
4 tablespoon chopped walnuts

In a saucepan, bring brown sugar, water, butter, and spices to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Core apples and place in an ungreased baking dish; fill with walnuts. Pour sugar mixture over and around apples. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

We had porkchops yesterday and I served it with apple sauce and I was thinking then I wish I had a recipe for baked apples. Thanks for being an answer to unintentional prayer. We'll have to make these this week they look yummy and we have apples. See you at co-op.

This recipe is delicious! I found it on Pinterest but for some reason I didn't pin it and am having a terrible time finding it to pin to my recipe board. Am I doing something wrong? I have found your pinterest page but haven't found this particular recipe on there either.
