:::Preparing Acorn Squash:::

Have you been seeing all the beautiful
squash, pumpkins, and gourds
at the grocery and farmer's markets this fall?

Have you ever eaten an acorn squash?
They are delicious and very easy to prepare.

Simply, wash the squash and slice it in half.
Scrape out the seeds and membranes.
Then, on each slice, rub a tablespoon of butter,
sprinkle a tablespoon of brown sugar
and top with a bit of cinnamon.
Place squash in a casserole dish
and pour a cup of water in the bottom of the dish.
Cover and bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
Enjoy! :-)
