Then, I melt the caramel on the stove. Then, our family takes the apple slices and dips them individually into the caramel. We also put a bowl of pecan pieces and toffee pieces on the table too. We take our apple dipped in caramel and then dip those into the pecan and toffee pieces. Yum!

It can get messy with little boys, but it's one of our favorite things about the fall!

HeatherHendrick Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11469855870811660403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302604839054825701.post-55976910095979682802008-10-29T21:17:00.000-05:002008-10-29T21:17:00.000-05:00OK I am making some tomorrow! And too keep the carmel from running off, I simply let it cool in pot just a little bit before I dipped the apples and then I put each one in the refrigerator right away.

Of course, I think it depends on the type of caramel you use too. But I'm with you ~ whether the caramel is on or off ~ they are still yummy!

Blessings,
LeaFarmhouse Blessingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08968135627250013084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302604839054825701.post-54882157060216668252008-10-29T16:51:00.000-05:002008-10-29T16:51:00.000-05:00oh my goodness! i have to hold myself back from li...oh my goodness! i have to hold myself back from licking the computer screen, LOL. i better get some dinner quick before i actually DO lick the computer screen!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14825073212179289053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302604839054825701.post-43615828886182856122008-10-29T16:02:00.000-05:002008-10-29T16:02:00.000-05:00I never got to thank you for coordinating us Sunsh...I never got to thank you for coordinating us Sunshine Walkers. It was great to be accountable. I did have to stop because our home construction began, (new kitchen and other projects :-) YES! The workers showed up at 8:00a.m. every morning so it threw me off my game. You are so sweet to have made it a secret contest. Congratulations on all the miles that you walked. Hopefully it has now become part of your routine. I hope to get the routine for myself too. Your recipes look so delicious that I have no choice to walk if I want to partake in them!! Yum!
