"The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong." ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

Do you know what's really fun?
Hearing from a dear friend that you lost touch with
Mrs. H, It looks like your family is having fun on your road trip.:) Thank you for sharing your pictures with us. What kind of camera do you use? The photos are beautiful, and I am in the market for a new camera. I have been busy this week doing school, cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. Your fried chicken came out great with my skinless chicken. You could cut it with a fork! Last night we had company and the meal was a hit. I cooked your Creamy Chicken Enchiladas and the corn and black bean salsa! My family was impressed. I am actually using one of your menus for this week! Thanks so much! Love Kerri
Wow! How fun!! I have to tell you a story about your strawberry cheesecake muffins...I made them last night and when they were done I took them out of the pan to cool on a wire rack. I lost track of time and right before bed I went to put them under my glass cake dome. I only counted 8 though and I knew I made 12. We soon found crumbs on the kitchen floor and it turns out Daisy had a little bedtime snack! LOL We had the muffins for breakfast and we loved them too! ~Kelli
Our camera is a Nikon D40 digital camera. I LOVE it! Almost all of the roadside scenery pictures from this trip were taken from a moving car with my zoom lens and the camera on the sports setting. I was really pleased with what I could get without having to stop. We would still be on the road if we had stopped whenever I saw something to snap a picture of! haha ;-)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the recipes! Thank you for telling me. :-)
I'm so glad that the WHOLE family enjoyed the muffins. :-) How funny! I only have to worry about keeping things off the floor and chairs pushed in with our little Daisy!
I have really enjoyed our vacation, but I am very ready to get home and start baking and nesting again! :-)
hi friend! i just now linked to this blog from the other one, so this is the first time i saw your note. going to sift through these recipes everyone keeps talking about...right now though i'm gonna go make some chocolate coconut oatmeal cookies and then try not to eat too many of them. :) so glad i found you again!
