Decorating with Thankfulness

It's time to hang our thankful chain and add more links this year!

I love to look back at what the children were thankful for when they were small and I look forward to what they will add as they grow older. I keep red, orange, yellow, and brown strips of paper handy.

Look what Kelli does at her house - a thanksgiving tree!
What a great idea! I would love to make one, wouldn't you? :-)

  1. Cute idea! I saw Kelli's idea as well. It's just nice to show your thankfulness in some way.

  2. I saw that on Kelli's page also and loved the idea...I also like yours to...I need to get me some paper and let Lexi learn about being thankful of so many of God's Gifts!

  3. We've done a Thankful Tree for years now. We gather bare branches from outside and put them in a tall copper vase/stand that I have. We then take real leaves and trace them onto fall colored paper and cut them out. Punch a hole in them and run some hemp twine through. Everynight as we go through our Thanksliving box, we each write on a leaf and hang it up. It's always been very special and such a great reminder to "think thankful".

  6. Kristin,
Your tree sounds wonderful! Now tell me about your "Thanksliving Box"! :-)

    Anonymous,
Our wall paint is called "coffee" and I think it was mixed at Sherwin Williams. Brown is pretty much my favorite color! I like my autumn decorations the best since they go so nicely with brown. :-)
