"The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong." ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder
Mrs.H, It looks so pretty. Acelia and I decorated a little bit yesterday too. I love your Christmas dishes. Where did you ever find them? Everything is so beautiful. Love Kerri
Kerri, The dishes are Nikko "Christmastime" pattern. My grandmother collected them and passed some of her collection on to me several years ago. She passed away two days after Christmas last year and they are very special to me because they were hers. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family very much and I like to think that I enjoy those same things because of her. :-)
Oh my gosh I love your tree. I came ov er from melissas site and just wanted to let you know that I just put up a mr linky for showing off your tree and ornaments and getting ideas from others. Feel free to post this over there.
Oh, it is looking a lot like Christmas around here! Not so much at my house (I have a lot of moving boxes though!!), so I am loving all the inspiration in blogland!
I was pleasantly surprised to see that you have the same ceramic "winking" Santa that I have. I also have his mate, "knitting" Mrs. C. Beautiful blog! Becki
Lookin' pretty!!!! I will start decorating today....we always start the first day of Advent.
