"The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong." ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

Spring Cleaning Day 1
location ~ laundry room
cleaned ~ baseboards, door frames, doors, walls, light switches, and light fixtures with a damp cloth and a little Mrs. Meyers
Starting small. . . .started clearing the clutter on my coffee table/desk. Going to finish up here in a few minutes. I think the rest of the livingroom will be my focus for the rest of the day. I have a lot to do in here. And due to extenuating circumstances, I still have snowmen and my christmas village in my livingroom. Hopefully they will be gone by this evening. Well. . . .the village may not all be gone because it takes a llloonnggg time to put away!
It has taken me three days! to organize my "multi-purspose room! In here I have my roll top computer desk, a love seat, my little library, my sewing area and my grandchildrens bookshelf and toys. Quite a lot of things going on in a TINY little room. First day I cleared off my desk area the shelves above. Second day was redoing the sewing area, which included putting up some antique sewing items on a shelf, and yesterday was taking all the books off the shelves and cleaning and rearranging the books along with reorganizing the childrens area. Gentleman Farmer is putting up another shelf for me today, to put my "hundreds" of magazines on.(I just can't bring myself to get rid of such lovelies.)Vacuuming is all that I need to do today, then off to the next room; the master bedroom. Hoping that doesn't take 3 days!
I just cleaned my linen closet. I feel so much better now. I was going to do it yesterday but I forgot I had all that company coming. I put some pictures on my blog....thanks for the motivation.
Okay, my word verification is tangly.... I'm laughing because that would quite aptly describe the linen closet I just cleaned.
I think this is a great idea. I have started spring cleaning. Yesterday I cleaned and organized my pantry and I started on my clothes closet. That will probably take days to finish. :) Also I tried the Potato Ham bake for supper last night. It was delicious. Thanks
cleaned - removed the pile of trash/donations that was sitting in the middle of the room after a recent closet cleanout. That alone made the room about 100 times better. Dusted and cleaned the light switches and fixtures.
organized - piles of papers from my office. Still more to do here, but progress...
