~This Is My Father's World~
This is my Father’s world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world: He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass;He speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father’s world. O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world: the battle is not done:
Jesus Who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and Heav’n be one.

New to your blog. I love this song.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this song. It brought back some really good old memories and caused me to stop and ponder on how long it's been since I've heard this being sung by a choir. Why do "they" think the new songs are always better? I think I don't agree.
ReplyDeleteI also like your idea of posting Scriptures for us to share all together. Too bad I didn't keep up with reading my favorite blogs to notice you were doing this earlier. I believe I'm going to play catch up with you and then try to not miss a day!
You continue to be a blessing!! Thanks!
I was hoping some readers might want to follow along with the Bible reading schedule! Thanks for letting me know you are going to Donna. :-)
