nope! First I thought sunflower seeds, but no, doesn't look like those. Then I thought, gravel like you put out for birds...but, I doubt chickens need this augmented if your free ranging them. So, then was thinking of some other types of seeds or nuts, but I'm actually clueless other than these ideas.
Thanks for guessing Donna. No, it's not chicken grit, but it sure looks like it. I'm going to wait awhile and see if anyone else comes up with anything. You're in the ballpark with the seed idea...

They are a type of flower seed that we happen to be quite partial to where I live.
