For gifts, place cocoa mix in a mason jar, add some sweet fabric and a label with preparation instructions.
These little jars of cocoa mix make great hostess gifts.
They are also nice to have on hand during the holidays to give to friends that stop by.

This looks delicious and definitely would make a fun gift (for myself as well!). Thanks for this great idea. Stopping by from Gooseberry Patch!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a cozy, welcoming blog...I think I'll stay around! :o)
This sounds so yummy!
ReplyDeleteThis is almost identical to a recipe I've been using for a few years, but I'm wondering--have you ever made this without the coffee?
ReplyDeleteIs there a particular brand of powdered milk you use for this? I'm assuming you mean regular powdered milk, and I remember trying to use it in place of podered coffee creamer in my twenties, but it wouldn't dissolve in hot water, only cold.
ReplyDeleteThank you Steph and Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteMillicent, I always use the coffee, but I bet you could leave it out.
MM, I just went to look at the box and it is actually called "dry milk" on the box. I've just always called it powdered milk. I just use a store brand box and it dissolves just fine in hot water.
Thank you. I had to ask cos the idea of this mix appeals for presents, but I wanted to be sure before buying anything. I'm thinking of making jars as you have and including cellophane packages of handmade marshmallows and other such things with a few cute mugs in a little basket. I really enjoy your blog. I've been reading it for a few months.
