So quick and easy for a yummy early fall breakfast.
Wonderful as an afternoon snack with coffee, tea, or cocoa.
Maple Cinnamon Biscuits
makes 12
recipe adapted from Taste of Home
2 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons cinnamon/sugar, divided
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons milk
Combine flour, 2 tablespoons cinnamon/sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add syrup and buttermilk and mix until just moistened. Knead several times and roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Brush with milk and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon/sugar. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
