One of these things is not like the others...


I was so happy this afternoon
 to discover the first egg laid by my Ameraucana breed chicken!


My other chickens all lay brown eggs,
so the first blue/green egg was quite eggs-citing. :-)


It was especially sweet that I found it today,
since today has definitely been "one of those days"
if you know what I mean!


Hoping it's a sign that things will soon be looking up! :-)

  4. I would be thrilled to capture eggs from my chickens..I don't have any, but..hopefully someday. How wonderful that you got that beautiful blue egg, right in the midst of my favorites the browns...my egg of choice...Thanks for sharing your special 1st with us.

  15. Eggciting indeed. I've never seen a blue egg before in my life. Only white and brown. I'm glad you posted something like this. It's fun to read.
