Catching Up! :-)

I must apologize over my lack of posting during the last few weeks.  My family and I were actually in a car accident five weeks ago and I sustained some injuries.  I am on the mend now and I have definitely been learning some lessons in patience and thankfulness.  Our life has been moving at a slower pace, and I'm not able to do all I'd like to do, but there is still life going on around me and thankfully I'm still able to capture it with my camera and share it with you! :-)

  1. Oh my.. I'm glad to hear you're on the mend. I hope all of you are feeling better. I've been reading your blog for almost a year now, don't think I've ever commented before, but I've enjoyed reading it, and had figured you were just super busy. I found your blog while searching for a recipe for hamburger soup. You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers, God bless you!

  2. Thank you so very much Mary! I really appreciate the prayers. :-) I might post at a later date more about the accident, but it's a little too fresh and raw right now. It was a roll over and we are incredibly thankful to be alive. Really changes your perspective on life. Thank you agin and for commenting!

  3. So glad to hear you are ok. My husband and I were in a pretty bad accident about 3 years ago, so I have totally been there. I suffered a broken leg from it so for me it was a long road to recovery, but thankfully I was fully healed. It was a dark time in my life....trauma is difficult to get over and can be emotionally and mentally taxing as well. I thank The Lord for my family, church, and friends who helped me through. Prayers for a speedy recovery!

  5. Thank you Megan and Farrah! I have broken bones and a herniated disk in my neck that are healing while I am in a neck brace 24/7. Specifically a Miami J collar for anyone that has ever had a broken neck! :-) I've been in the brace for 6 weeks this weekend and I have anywhere from 2 more weeks (which would be awesome!) to 6 more weeks to go.
