~Fresh Garden Onions~

"The first supermarket supposedly appeared on the American landscape in 1946.  That is not very long ago.  Until then, where was all the food?  Dear folks, the food was in homes, gardens, local fields, and forests.  It was near kitchens, near tables, near bedsides.  It was in the pantry, the cellar, the backyard."

  1. I have very special memories as a child being in my grandmother's vegetable garden picking our favorites for dinner. It was all wholesome food then and it was wonderful. I love the bowl that holds the onions. And what could make a photo more beautiful than a cat. :) Deb
