A goal of mine this summer is to
learn more about growing herbs.
First and foremost of course,
is to learn how to keep them alive! ;-)
I'm also reading about how to cook with them
and how to dry and store them.
I'm hoping to experiment with many different varitites.
This is my little outdoor herb garden that Mr. H. built me to
learn...with lots of trial and error I'm sure.

Currently I have planted
mint, lemon balm, rosemary, cilantro, sage, thyme,
basil, marjoram, oregano, dill, and chamomile.
I grow lots of herbs each summer. My husband just put in six new raised beds for me (I only had one previously) but I filled those up quick with more herbs and other veggies! I really like how you painted rocks to use as markers! Clever!
ReplyDeleteLove this.
ReplyDeleteA great idea for plant markers!
ReplyDeleteLove this post, and I am a new follower of your blog. I love growing herbs, and cooking with fresh herbs is the best. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that you are experimenting with herbs! I am too! I want to grow them to add to my cut flower bouquet's this summer. They should be part of every garden even if it's just a pot of sweet basil on your windowsill! Thanks for hopping with the farmgirls!
ReplyDeleteI love when herbs grow together and their colors and textures create little landscapes. I also like sending dinner guest out to the garden with kitchen snips to get fresh herbs to throw in the dinner pot. So fun.
