Chocolate Touring

My daughter's 4H club toured a local candy shop today that specializes in hand made, gourmet painted chocolates.

We learned a lot...and got samples. :-)

Taking the chocolate's temperature!

They use a blow torch to clean the marble work surface!

Yummy! I wish I could have gone on that tour! I was looking through your current reading and I am reading A Little House Sampler also right now. I love anything by Laura Ingalls Wilder and it was so nice to find new writings.

It was a very fun tour! I have a picture of my daughter tasting her first sample - her eyes are closed and she looks like she is really enjoying it! She takes her chocolate seriously, just like her Mommy does. ;-)

Mama Hen,
I am enjoying A Little House Sampler. Have you read "Laura Ingalls Wilder Country" by William Anderson? It takes you on a "tour" in pictures of all the Little House sites. It's very neat.
