"What's in the cookie jar??" Wednesday

What's in the cookie jar this week at Heritage Schoolhouse?

This week it's Chocolate Nutella Cookies

That's right I said Nutella!  In a cookie!

Chocolate Nutella Cookies
3 dozen
recipe from Our Best Bites

1 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon hazelnut extract
1/3 cup Nutella
1/3 cup milk

Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder; set aside.  Cream butter and sugars.  Add vanilla and extract and mix until well combined.  Add Nutella and mix until well combined.  Add half of flour mixture and mix well.  Add milk and mix well.  Add the rest of the flour mixture and mix well.  Roll into one inch balls and place on parchment lined cookie sheets.  Bake at 325 for 11-12 minutes.  Let cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheets and then remove to wire wrack to cool completely.  Enjoy!
