~homemade christmas~

Most of the gifts that I give at Christmas to friends and family are homemade from my kitchen.
"Consumable" gifts, as my dad calls them.  :-)
This year I tried out gingerbread granola.
I kept a jar for myself and I thought it was really yummy!

I had a unique request from my sister this year.
She asked for a bucket of my homemade laundry detergent.

So I bought her a bucket, made up a batch,
and also included the ingredients for her next batch
if she decides to continue using it.

I love a homemade Christmas. :-)

I am very interesting in trying out your homemade powder detergent recipe. Can I just buy the single boxes of Super Wash Soda and Borax and mix with one grated bar of Fels Naphtha? How much do you need for one load of wash?
THANKS for the info.

Nettie, I make the liquid kind, but if you'll look in my post about the detergent (linked to in this post) you will find a link for DIY Natural and that post explains the powdered recipe.

I use a cup of the liquid, but you use a lot less of the powdered, maybe a tablespoon?
