A Simple Garden

at Heritage Schoolhouse
some okra

a few tomato varities

and peppers, bell

and sweet

"The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth."

What a lovely garden...Round one of my garden was lettuce (romaine, black seeded Simpson, and third lettuce I forgot the name of), spinach, swiss chard, and sugar snap peas. Round 2 has begun with tomatoes, sweet peppers, and an eggplant. I'm waiting for the end of round 1 to finish planting round 2. I was a bit late on the early spring planting...

Love poem, as well!
