Pumpkin
Spice Latte
1 serving
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon canned pumpkin
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla (not a typo!)
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup
strong brewed coffee
Combine
milk, pumpkin, and sugar in saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring until
steaming. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and spice. Transfer to a blender
and process until foamy. Pour into a large mug and add coffee. Top with fresh
whipped cream and a
sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Enjoy!

Mr. H. is the
coffee drink maker in this house, but his aversion to all things pumpkin, had
me on my own for this concoction. I used a recipe that claimed to be just
like Starbucks. Now, I've never had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks,
so I can't really compare. But, it sure was good and it certainly took less
time and money than going to Starbucks! :-)
