Mrs H.,
I love the pictures of Laura Ingalls Wilder's home and places that we read about in her books. What a lovely vacation. I feel as though I have been on a vacation too:). I look forward to seeing what is next every morning! Acelia really liked the Little House pictures, and thought that would be a place she would like to go. She's 4th grade this year and I will be reading the series to her for our read aloud. The country is beautiful, I have never been west.:( Maybe that will be our next family vacation.
Thanks for sharing
Love Kerri

I'm lovin' the pics of your trip....I must ask though, are you headed to a certain destination or are you just driving and enjoying?

Hi Kerri!
I am so glad you and your daughter are enjoying the pictures. We are having such a wonderful time. :-)

Hi Traci!
I laughed when I read your comment! :-) Good question! My husband is actually working in Chicago this week. Instead of flying, he took the family along for a road trip and we took a "round about" route to Illinois before he had to report for work. He has always wanted to go to Mount Rushmore and when I mentioned that there were several Little House sites in the area I'd like to see, he made it happen! We've both enjoyed seeing so much of the plains and midwestern states! They are so beautiful.

Traci,
I feel so bad to dissapoint you! It'll be interstate all the way home. We've got to get home in two days and though the backroads are our favortie, they aren't condusive to getting us back by Sunday night. ;-) We did take back roads from Mount Rushmore to Chicago and loved every minute!
