Strawberry Syrup

Strawberry Syrup
1 1/2 cups

1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water

1 cup crushed fresh strawberries

In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in water until smooth. Add strawberries. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat; cover and keep warm. Serve over waffles or pancakes and enjoy!

We received a heart shaped waffle iron as a wedding gift
and I enjoy using it for special days like today. :-)
