"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier.  The way it actually works is the reverse.  You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want."

Come Along With Me

and I'll introduce you to the animals
at Heritage Schoolhouse! :-)

The chickens will be 10 months old this week.

I enjoy them so much.

Miss Dolly is my girl.
She never pecks me, always follows me around,
and if I stop for a bit,
she likes to stand in between my legs.

Miss Tammy has been a bit broody
some days.
I've tried to tell her that her eggs are never going to hatch,
but she doesn't seem to listen.

Miss LuLu is growing.
She likes to eat!
She gets along very well with the chickens.
And, bless her heart, she tolerates
being dressed and having her nails painted
by my daughter!

She and Daisy are best pals.

Here they are trying to sniff out the kittens
living under the shed.

There they are!

So cute!

Ol' Cooter will be 13 1/2 years old next month
and he sleeps most of the time.
He hasn't lost his appetite though!

And a friendly little turtle
was in the middle of the drive this morning.

If you're stopping by from the
Barn Hop thanks for visiting!

There is one more day left to enter the
Mary Jane's Farm magazine giveaway! :-)
