I hope we get enough snow this year to make snow ice cream! I haven't had it since I was a kid and my kiddos keep talking about wanting to *eat snow*. They would absolutely love this!

Yum, is right...I haven't made this in ages!

And how fun to get all that snow when your family rarely does!

We're due for our first snowfall of the year this weekend...but hoping not too much because it's the second weekend of my girls' Christmas concert performances. After that, it can snow all it wants! ;)

I have such memories of eating this anytime it snowed as a kid which wasn't often (we live in SE Oklahoma)! It didn't snow here but was supposed too. My family was very disappointed. :( Hopefully, we will get some snow before Christmas!

Thanks for posting this, it's always fun to remember!

Wow, I didn't know you could do that. I don't think we are getting anything but rain in GA this December.

I forgot all about this. We will be able to eat Snow Cream for the first time since I was 'knee high to a grasshopper' as my grandma use to say. (Just moved 1200 miles north last April) I remember my dad adding a touch of coke!

We can do this today since we already have snow-yummo!!!

Living in South Florida, we never get snow, so we never get snow ice cream. However, I grew up in Maryland, and I had plenty of snow ice cream. Mama always told us to stay away from the yellow snow!

This brought back such great memories of when my older girls were little and we lived in CO where we got lots of snow. We made snow ice cream and snow slushies all the time.

When I saw your post, it made me smile! It was a big deal in our family to make snow ice cream as soon as we got snow! We lived on 5 acres so we had a lot of untouched snow. Last night we got snow and I went outside and took a bite of snow. It wasn't snow ice cream, but it was in my thoughts!

there is nothing like fresh true snow cream! My dad used to make this for me all the time and now when we get even just a little, I make it for my kids. Trauth makes snow cream in a tub... I can find it at our Walmart. It's crazy, because it tastes just like the real thing! It's not ice cream with a vanilla flavour! Hope you can find it to try, although it kinda takes some of the "specialness" out of the real thing...

We only get a bit of snow every year but if we get even a handful, I'm going to try this fun idea. Thanks for sharing!

My twin girls and I just made a "batch" of this up..we just got about 6 inches of light fluffy snow. It was wonderful , both for them and me! Thanks!
