"The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong." ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder
Your garland reminds me of the garlands Mrs. Wilt always made. Now I'm a bit sad thinking of her not blogging any longer. Anyway, I hope you have a great week!
I just wanted to email a big thank you. I have been reflecting over the last year as April 19 was my one year blog anniversary. I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful inspiration and friend you were to me whether you knew it or not. I used to be a happy, normal and well adjusted lady. Hubby's layoff and financial terrors turned me into a scared, negative, & miserable human being. Knowing me in real life or here in blog land could not have been fun for anybody and the fact that you were so kind to me and encouraging and didn't tell me to go away is just amazing to me. Thankfully I am "recovered" now and once again happy. I am amazed at what I have learned this past year with God. I am so thankful for every kind work you typed & for every single prayer you prayed. It couldn't have been fun visiting my blog but you did and you helped a hurting soul. I just wanted to let you know how much you meant to me. There are two other ladies who I owe big thank you's too. Ocean Mommy over at Notes from The Soul & Mary Ellen at Living On Love. You three ladies are the only people in my life other than my family who didn't say I was a pain in the tail and tell me to go away. That is pretty huge to me. Thank you for being a beacon of light and friendship during some tough times. I just wanted you to know how important you were to me and once again say thank you!!
Jennifer, This note brought a tear to my eye! You were the very first person to ever leave a comment on my blog - back when I hadn't even told anyone about it! That made you special then and now you are even more special to me because I now know what a wonderful, sweet person you are. You stopped by so often and always had a kind word to say. I appreciated each one! I am so glad that I was able to be encouraging to you, too. I didn't always know what to say, or have the answers, but I followed along, hurt for your hurts and rejoiced during your triumphs and thought of and prayed for you so often. Your sweet, honest soul always shone through in your writing during the good and bad. And I did see your writing change as you were seeking to find God's will for your life and His guidance in how to handle things. Thank you for being my friend and I pray that good times continue to be ahead for you - you deserve it! Now, I'm heading over to say congratulations on your blogiversary! :-)
