Canning Cranberries :-)

Hello, my name is Mrs. H. and canning scares me. ;-)
But over at the Jamie Cooks It Up blog I found the perfect "baby step" canning recipe to try!

Jamie's recipe for Cranberry Sauce is fun and you don't have to have any special equipment.

I had the best time listening for these little babies
to announce that they were sealed with their little "ping".
 It was like music to my ears.

And the taste??  Yum-my! :-)

Just a note - if you're a novice canner like me, you need to know that canning jars and rims can be used over and over, but you must use new lids each time.  Once the lid has been sealed one time, it cannot be used again.  You also must sterilize your jars before use and heat your rims and lids in simmering water.
