S'mores...in a jar!

Did you know that August 10th is
National S'mores Day? :-)

How about celebrating this year with some
S'mores in a Jar?

In a one quart mason jar layer -

1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

Use a cute ribbon to tie on the instructions.

Yummy!

Campfire s'mores goodness...

They look delicious! I noticed that there are pieces of a Hershey bar in there, do you add that in addition to the chocolate chips, or do you replace some of the chips with the chocolate bar pieces?

Never heard of "S'mores" before but what a fantastic idea in the jar, could give them as presents.

Perhaps you could show a picture of the cooked product???? Just to see what they look like.

I love s'mores. They are so gooey and delicious. I love your S'mores in a jar so simple because you don't have to build the campfire to have the traditional treat. :)

Ladybug's Mom, yes, I thought it would look cute to have the candy bar pieces around the outside. I still used the 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips, too.

Bec-Farmers Wife, s'mores are a campfire treat. You take a roasted marshmallow and sandwich it between two graham crackers with a bit of chocolate. Very warm and yummy. You can make them in the microwave, too. I'm sorry I can't add a picture of the finished product...they got eaten too fast!

Do you know what the recipe would be for a pint size mason jar? Would I just use half the amount of crackers/marshmallows/chocolate? What about the butter and vanilla?

Great idea, thanks!! :)

I' confused. Do you pour the butter mixture over chocolate pieces and marshmallows then bake?
I am giving these as a gift so I would like to make instructions as clear as possible.
