Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara
6 servings

12 ounces spaghetti
6 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Fry bacon until crisp. Crumble bacon and sit aside. Discard bacon grease. Add butter to pan and melt. Add cream, parmesan cheese, red pepper, salt, and pepper and bacon. Cook and stir until cheese melts. Add cooked pasta; cook and stir until heated through.

I have a weakness for this dish. I've never attempted to make it from scratch, though, and don't know why...this seems so easy! Thanks for sharing.

I had never had this before at all until I made it at home, and I don't know why! Pasta and bacon? What's not to like?! ;-)
